VBA Programming

Many of the people out there heard about VBA but never actually uses @ this Visual Basic for Application. for most people would believe that this is a visual basic programming but it is not the whole package. But do not underestimate the power of VBA. Most common place to use this is with Microsoft Office application such as Excel to use of auto data retrieval, Calculation, Manipulation, Graph Generation, & link to Power point, Outlook, Visio and other Microsoft Application such as the windows media player etc.

Sounds interesting? it is as interesting programming which can be learned with a short period of time, & most basic tools can be learned from just using a recording function. Yes.. You record a sequence of things you do, & change it into a programming step. Video step below show you on how to record a macro & check out what is the codes needed to execute in VBA form.

Do you want to try your own VBA? one of the fun thing that you can create is an auto-mail macro that is attached with outlook. which can help you to automatically send a birthday wish to your love one so that you won't be sleeping on your couch later of the day (which i forgot to wish my fiance on 12th August 2010) which is actually because i was too occupied with the Debugging work in intel.

So here is your first tutorial on Outlook:-
Create a VBA which sends a birthday greeting (whatever you want) automatically on 12th August (its my date of choice) at exactly 00:00 (but your PC need to be on.

the tips is to use VBA Scripts together with Scheduler.
- i'll post a sample answer here later if there is a demand on the item. :)

Intel's is a Pressure Cooker?

Having working in the among the best semiconductor company is not all about the paycheck, the benefits and such the is self centric but i would say the passion of the technical information such as touching the state of the art processors & testing with the latest OS, state of the art tools, Programming language, and many more stuff that cannot be stated here.

i know that most of the engineers wannabe feel that intel is a pressure cooker if you concentrate on the down side, & yes at certain extent, Intel does have high expectation to the engineers that is hired. But after few years (3 years and going) in Intel, it seem that if you have the passion & love to what you do in intel, & able to relate it to the things you have learned, you will feel that this "job is just what i need!" and i can say that during my load is higher than normal.

i love the way it challenges your technical knowledge, & i know that during my immature time in my job, i was thinking to go back to teach as lecturer. but to tell you the truth, i love teaching & sharing information. but in my current job, the passion of sharing new things can still be done. & at the same time learning new stuff ahead of the pack.

Thank you Dr. Rasyid for the advice that was given to me right before the FKE interview. the advice given is engrave down to my soul, as a Jazarian, leading into the Technical world.
